Wired Networks

Many of you will have seen the recent reports about the potential risk to health from low level microwave radiation omitted from wireless equipment and are keen to find a simple alternative for your networking needs.

Home Plug Adaptors basically turn any electrical socket outlet (on the same ring main) into a home network connection by routing the broadband signal through the existing electrical wiring in the house. This alleviates the need for additional wiring and provides a secure and stable network without the potential risks of wireless.

Home Plug Adaptors can also be extremely useful if there is quite a distance between PCs and the wireless signal strength is poor, because they provide a hardwired link via the mains and therefore there is no drop in signal strength.

To run Home Plug adaptors sucessfully you will require a spare electrical socket at each computer all on the same ring main and preferably not via an extension panel, together with a broadband contract.

"...I'd been experiencing no end of probelms with my wireless network, finding myself constantly having to reset the router. However now I have this new plug in network it's fantiastic. There has been no breaks in the signal and the strength is great, even in my daughters bedroom at the other end of the house and I can still play on all the online games too!..." Obviously there are still some people who would prefer the security they feel from having their network hardwired. RHCC is equally proficient at Wired Networking if this is your preferred choice. Again we offer a bespoke service to do as much or as little of the work as you require or your budget will extend to. It should be noted that whilst parts to hard wire a network are considerably cheaper, the labour involved usually outweighs any savings.
